Tarbert, before we ferried to Islay.
This lovely little B & B, The Mooring in Tarbert, had the most comfortable bed we experienced on the entire trip.
A cold, windy and wet two hour ferry ride on the Caledonian MacBrayne to Isle of Islay, but the ferry was upscale and comfy cozy as we relaxed.
They have their ways of staying warm, though. Double dram for £3. Such a deal. We indulged, of course.
A couple friends we met along as we were walking.
I could live in Islay. So serene.
Bruichladdich scotch. Yum.
It's a traffic jam headed for that great coffee!
We ate a lot of seafood and especially muscles. They were so plentiful, fresh and served with lots of garlic.
The rear view.
That's the Isle of Jura your looking at in the distance. Human population of 200. Deer population 5,500.
Setting sun in Islay.
The water on Islay is a very dark color because of the peaty soil, which made for some great reflection shots. AND great whiskey. "It's the water."
